“The Character’s Inner Life In the previous lesson, we came up with several elements and took notes on Consuelo’s outer life. Now we’re ready to move on to her inner life. We already said that in real life, we get to know people from the outside in. It’s not that you can't start with the character’s inner life, but what often happens is we force it. If we start to think about what moves them and what’s behind everything they do, sometimes we force them to do those things. That's why I prefer to work in the opposite direction.
