“Painting the background In this lesson we will paint the background of our illustration. For this we will use Chinese ink, a 6 or 8 thick brush and a thin brush for hard-to-reach spots, like here, that some tips are put together that are more complicated and that with the thick brush it would be difficult to treat them. The Chinese ink will not be used directly, but we are going to dilute it with water, since if you occupy it directly it has a lot of brightness and it looks like some kind of latex or acrylic that gets very shiny.
