“Hollowing out and firing In this lesson we will prepare our bust to fire in the kiln. We had determined a composition. I have marked it roughly. We are simply going to take off the excess. It is a bit dry and that makes hollowing out easier. We could get the bust off. For firing, we need a flat surface. Still, I'll leave a cubic base. We will not put a turned shape as we have seen in some examples. We will do something geometric and simple. I thought I'd work it higher, but in the end I went to the ridge of the shoulder blades.
