“Transferring and Drawing Your Design You've found inspiration and created your mood board. I will teach you how to transfer an image to a block. To start, I'm using an image from my sketchbook of this flower. The best way to start is to have tracing paper, a bone folder, a number 2 pencil, which is one of the softest pencils you can get, and your carving block. To start, I will place the tracing paper over the image I'm gonna transfer, in this case, it's this small flower, and I'll trace the outline of the flower onto the tracing paper.
