“How to Create and Use Brushes Now we've seen everything you need to set up these three kinds of brushes. It's now time to paint and see how these brushes do their magic. We're actually gonna paint something with our brushes, so I have these objects set up already with a reference on the top, and the only thing I want is actually to paint these subjects, just paint a core shadow, a cast shadow, and give it shape as fast as possible. Once he finished his studies in graphic design in Paris (France), and got rejected from renowned animation schools, Jean Fraisse decided to learn about illustration on his own and began applying it to his work for advertising agencies. It was then that he decided to get into freelance work and started working for major clients such as Marinela and Televisa.
In 2015, he got in touch with HuevoCartoon, a widely-recognized Mexican animation studio, where he worked as their Art Director and Production Designer for over five years.
Today, part of his time involves sharing his knowledge and showing others how he learned illustration and animation through a project called Canvas. In the last eight years, he has also taught classes in several schools and workshops.
