Start by getting to know Brik Chocolate’s founder Kia Utzon-Frank and what led her to create her chocolate design studio. Discover where Kia draws inspiration from and her method for finding new ideas.
Get familiar with the ingredients, materials, and equipment you need to work safely and efficiently. Learn how to make your mold with Lego and create textures with baking paper. Understand the process of working with chocolate and how to temper it correctly. Discover how to mix colors to prepare your chocolate chips for your terrazzo design.
Learn Kia’s expert tricks to create your flavor-filled chocolate terrazzo design. Next, learn how to add charcoal to chocolate and create a modern concrete-inspired slab design. For your third creation, mix 3 different chocolate colors to create a shiny marble finish. Learn how to create your own silicone mold using an object of your choice, going through each step to cast your object perfectly and fill it with chocolate.
Before you taste your chocolate creations, get Kia’s tips on photographing your designs and sharing them on social media. Explore different ways of presenting your work and how best to store it. Finish the course by discovering how to pair your chocolate with different food and drinks to create interesting combinations.

Requirements and materials
As for materials you will need some large and small microwaveable plastic bowls, silicone spatulas, a blender, a food thermometer, silicone spatulas, baking paper, cardboard, double-sided tape, cling film, latex powder-free gloves, a mixing container, a scale, silicone, a mixing stick, mold-release spray, dish-washing soap, water, Lego blocks, blue roll, a knife, a chopping board, a hair-dryer or heat gun, a fridge, a microwave.
To give color and flavor to your textures, you will need white chocolate, charcoal, color powders, chai tea, strong black tea, pink peppercorn, matcha powder, spirulina, Earl Grey tea, lemongrass essential oil, and black sesame seeds.
