“LESSON 2 Sketches and composition OK, we just saw different ways to paint individual leaves, either compound or simple. Now I want to develop a few sketches with you. Our first step will be starting to see the structure and how these leaves, these plants will arrange on my page. For example, I decided, that the invitation will be vertical, it’s a standard format. I have four rectangles here where I’ll practice different ways to arrange my plants. This will help us, first, as a composition class, and secondly, to sketch my final illustration.
