“Metering Modes In this lesson we're gonna be looking at metering modes. Metering modes can sometimes be overlooked by beginners, but I find that metering modes can be really effective way of being creative with your image. Metering modes measure the amount of reflected light coming into your camera. We've got four different types of metering modes. The first one I'm gonna discuss is called Evaluative, sometimes it can be called Matrix. This is the default setting on our cameras. It's measuring 100% of the reflected light. This means that on overcast days, we get a really well exposed image....”
