“Influences In this lesson we're gonna look at my influences and this is gonna show you how it helped shape my work. Let's start with Sophie Calle. This is a book by Sophie Calle, and it's called "Exquisite pain". So, in 1984 she won an artist award that she could travel anywhere in the world, and she chose to go from Paris to Japan. But she left behind her boyfriend. They decided to meet in India at a later date. When she was in her Delhi hotel, she got a phone call from him saying that he'd fallen in love with somebody else.
