“The Color Wheel In this lesson, we’ll talk a bit abut the color wheel. I have two color wheels on my table. I made one using magenta as a primary color and the other, I used red as a primary color. In older paintings, painters used red as a primary color because the magenta color pigment is something more recent. It appeared during the Industrial Revolution. Before, in paintings we see in museums, painters used vermilion, a specific type of red as a primary color. Mixes made with red are a bit less saturated. You can see that well in these colors that are close to blue. I have darker purple...”
