“Materials In this lesson, I’ll tell you about the materials I usually use. I really like this paper by Arches. I have rough, fine and satin-finish here. What is different in these types of paper is that some of them are able to absorb more water. Usually, with rough paper, since it has texture, little holes, the paint tends to stay in these little pockets, making the paper wet for longer. With medium-textured paper, it's a mix of satin-finish and rough, it has a mid-texture. I mostly use satin-finish in my work, it has a completely smooth surface.
