“About Me In this lesson, we'll see where I'm from and how this influences my work, and I'll also tell you how I got into illustrating maps. I'm Jess Wilson and I'm an illustrator and printmaker from London. I left uni around 15 years ago and I've always been working in the industry ever since. I've worked on many different commercial projects and I fell into screen printing about 10 years ago. And since then I've been making my own prints, and I started making my own illustrated maps and they started doing quite well, so I started doing more of them and it's a process I really enjoy. Jess Wilson is a London-based illustrator and printmaker who has over ten years of experience in creating commercial illustration and personal screen prints. From a young age, she was encouraged to develop her drawing skills and eventually went on to study graphic design at university, where she discovered a newfound passion for screen printing.
Jess is currently Creative Director of Jealous, a contemporary gallery and Fine Art ScreenPrint studio in East London where her work is sold. She has also worked for major international brands such as Nike, Nokia, and Coca-Cola, and has developed map illustrations for Lululemon and Nhow. Her most recent work was featured on a billboard in Central London for Vape.
