“Materials In this lesson we will see the materials that we will use. First we will see the basic pencils for drawing. Pencils are classified into two ranges: H's and B's. The H's are those that indicate a higher degree of hardness. The higher the H number, the harder it will be, therefore, the pencils will paint less. and they will win over the grain of the paper. Instead, the B's indicate its degree of softness. The softer, the dirtier they will be, darker stroke will create us and will make the grain of the paper more transparent. Dani Torrent is an illustrator, painter, and also a writer. He lives in Barcelona and has more than ten years' experience illustrating picture books, many of them self-authored. He studied film directing and that knowledge is reflected in the structure, pace, and composition of his creations, which embody the essence of a short film.
He has created illustrations for media outlets and advertising, but he is most well known for his creative work in the field of children’s and young adult literature. He has worked for Spanish publishing companies such as Edelvives, Kalandraka, Alfaguara, Cal.lígraf and Comanegra, but his artistic work has had a much greater impact on his career and led him to be a renowned illustrator. He has also published his work in France, Italy, Belgium, Mexico, China, Korea, and the United States.
