“Presentation Hi, I'm Dani Torrent. Welcome to this Domestika course on not so childish illustration, pencil and dry techniques. As will happen to almost all of you, I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. In fact, one of my earliest memories that usually coincide with the first traumas, It's my mother chasing me in a fury around the house. It turns out that my first steps as an artist I made them on her final line drawing project in Fine Arts. And despite everything, I was never a persecuted artist. Dani Torrent is an illustrator, painter, and also a writer. He lives in Barcelona and has more than ten years' experience illustrating picture books, many of them self-authored. He studied film directing and that knowledge is reflected in the structure, pace, and composition of his creations, which embody the essence of a short film.
He has created illustrations for media outlets and advertising, but he is most well known for his creative work in the field of children’s and young adult literature. He has worked for Spanish publishing companies such as Edelvives, Kalandraka, Alfaguara, Cal.lígraf and Comanegra, but his artistic work has had a much greater impact on his career and led him to be a renowned illustrator. He has also published his work in France, Italy, Belgium, Mexico, China, Korea, and the United States.
