About the video: Botanical Watercolor Techniques

Overview

“Now you will see how I apply some of the techniques that I explained in the previous class. Have you noticed how plants have many different textures? Some are shiny, others matte, with hairs, spines and ribs. Let's explore the matte and glossy textures and learn to make details using two techniques that I love.”

In this video lesson Luli Reis addresses the topic: Botanical Watercolor Techniques, which is part of the Domestika online course: Botanical Watercolor: Illustrate the Anatomy of Flowers. Learn how to create a botanical plate with the shapes, colors, and textures of plants.

Using this reference leaf already sketched on the paper. i will use this green shade to create as even a wash as possible. First. i'll create an even layer....”
