The most popular substrate or main support is the Claybord, is the original brand, but there are also cheaper alternatives like Scrapeboard. The difference is that the Claybord has a wooden base and the Scrapeboard is made of cardboard, So there are things that cannot be done but we will see later. The Claybord comes in many sizes.
