About the final project for: Introduction Ephemeral Space Design

Introduction Ephemeral Space Design

“We have reached the end of the course, I hope you have learned a lot and, above all, enjoyed the creative process. Now is the time for you to show all your creativity, Dare and design your ephemeral space! It doesn't matter if you don't have a shop window at your disposal to intervene with your design. You can develop everything you have learned in this course in any other format or variant of ephemeral space: an event, a public space or a special occasion. You could even make an ephemeral installation in your house for a birthday, for a friend or relative's party, even for a wedding, like I did. You could also characterize a room, creating a setting to recreate a specific environment that inspires you and its entire atmosphere. A desert, the bottom of the sea, a fantastic world ... Don't put limits on your creativity! I am sure that you will be able to emotionally involve the user, connect with him and create a strong emotional bond. Now we are going to review the phases of the final project so that you can structure the presentation of your project: Briefing and mood board As a first thing we have analyzed the briefing that I have received from the client. As you have seen, you can also write your own brief for your personal projects.

Then I have created an inspirational mood board from a poetry that I have found in my search.
Sketches and 3D design of the idea After the design of the final project begins, we have made some sketches and developed our first ideas. The drawing is something free, for this reason it is about releasing all the ideas on the paper.
Dossier presenting the idea With all the material created: drawings, collage, plans, renders and reference images, I have prepared a presentation dossier to show the idea to the client and make him fall in love with our proposal. In Unit 4 I have left you in PDF the dossier in which I have shown the client for this project. Materials and color palette Then comes a very interesting phase: selecting the materials and their textures, and the color palette.
Prototypes To better understand the space and get closer to the final result, I have shown you the model and some prototypes. Remember that the models not only serve to show the project in a beautiful way to the client, but that they are often essential to communicate our idea to the suppliers.
Production and assembly The next step is to carry out the production, pre-assembly and final assembly of the project. I have left you a PDF with all the production planning in Unit 5.
Final result This is how the ephemeral space that we have set up in the workshop has finally been:
Now share your final project with all of us by clicking on "Create your project". Remember to share both the final result of your project and the steps that have led you to it. It would be great if you showed a picture of each step and added a brief explanation about what you have done in each one. So I can give you feedback. I am looking forward to seeing your creative proposals. If in addition to the forum, you want to share your creation with everyone, you can upload photos of your work to Instagram with the hashtag #LucaHugoBrucculeriDomestika. The time has come to say goodbye, but we stay in touch! For any questions you have, you can write to me in the forum, where I hope you will also share your opinions with the rest of the community. Be patient if I do not respond quickly, being a professional I have some very demanding clients to whom I dedicate a lot of time. Do not be shy about giving advice to the community, if they receive more opinions than mine, it will surely also be of great help. I hope you have enjoyed this course and have fallen in love with the ephemeral world. Remember, as Walt Disney said, "If you can dream it, you can do it." Grazie, quick! ”

“Final project Now I will summarize everything I have taught you throughout this course. At first I told you the story of ephemeral design in order to understand the characteristics and the needs of this type of project. Then I did a "focus" on the shop windows, which are the ephemeral spaces par excellence. Then we started with our project. We have prepared a "briefing" and an inspirational mood board. Then I showed you how the "storytelling" helps create narrative in our projects. Then we started to design our project. We made some sketches and we develop our first ideas. With all the mate...”
