Claudia Rueda
A course by Claudia Rueda
Colombian author and illustrator Claudia Rueda is a New York Times best-selling author with over thirty published illustrated books. Her work has been published in the US, Mexico, Spain, and has been translated into more than fifteen languages in Asia and Europe. She was also nominated for major awards such as Hans Cristian Andersen and Astrid Lindgren.
Claudia studied Law and Arts and worked as a political caricaturist in Colombia. She then furthered her studies in children’s book illustration at UC Berkeley. She has a master’s in creative writing from Lesley University and won the Billie M. Levy investigation grant from the Children’s Literature Collection from the North-West. Claudia is also a teacher in the creative writing masters at Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
