About the final project for: Creation of a Children's Picturebook
Creation of a Children's Picturebook
“Dear students, we have reached the end of the course. I have told you about my work, how I became the author of the album book and the decisions and the people that influenced and helped me achieve it. We then took a brief tour of the history of visual storytelling to understand important elements to create an album book such as the representation of a scene, the creation of a visual sequence and how to narrate with images in combination with a text. We also talked a bit about the visual creation of the characters and the graphic definition of the place where our story is going to take place. After illustrating and commenting on these principles and explaining how the storyboard is the most useful tool to apply them, we move on to creating your own album project. The first step was to understand the particularities of an album text. Then you went on to select it and develop the thumbnails and the storyboard applying the principles defined on narration and visual sequence.
