his work is amazing, yet the course has no practice and he doesn't explain HOW to sketch, how to draw. i found interesting the different ideas of perspective but he told us how to draw a finger and he just drew it himself, no explanation given.

Super fun course, Lapin's own obvious enthusiasm and enjoyment are incredibly infectious. I loved trying out curvilinear perspective - it's not even that hard but looks really impressive ;-D

Für mich, als Sketch-Anfänger, sind die Basics toll erklärt. Ich konnte mit den deutschen Untertiteln gut verständlich arbeiten. Die krummlinige Perspektive erscheint mir sehr spannend. Lapin ist sehr sympathisch und ich mochte ihm gerne zuhören. Mir gefällt seine Technik und der Kurs macht Spaß! Vielen Dank!

For me, the course felt more like a one way conversation with Lapin, though a very pleasant conversation. I didn’t receive much from the course as a “how to”. It was more like Lapin showing and talking about what he does, with pleasant and effective encouragement to go have fun.

Fantastic course! Lapin is a skilled artist, and a skilled instructor. He gives many examples and ideas for inspiration. I have learned so much already, and I haven’t quite finished the entire course yet.

This is my 2nd course taught by Lapin, the first being Botanical Sketchbooking. He is an outstanding teacher: clear, logical, warm and enthusiastic. If you're like me, a complete beginner to drawing & painting, I suggest you take his Botanical Sketchbooking course first. There is more instruction there on the basics of drawing/painting. This course was maybe a bit light on actual urban sketching. But the lesson on curvilinear perspective was outstanding & worth the price of the course alone.
