About the final project for: Storyboard Illustration with Procreate

“Hi! I hope the course content was helpful and that you enjoyed it. Above all, I hope you have absorbed the concepts to the fullest. I shared with you, step by step, my workflow and some of my secrets for developing my final project. I hope you can take advantage of them and put them into practice in your personal and professional projects. Now, I share some of the phases of my final project so that you can recap what we saw during the course and develop your project. Share your creative process on the forum showing how you got to the final result. Initial planning for the storyboard: script and roughs To start your final project you must read your script or, if you have accepted the challenge that I proposed, carefully read the script "Persecution in Venice", available in "Additional resources". Complete the last four frames left to draw and finish the storyboard following the guidelines of the script. Use the storyboard frames available under "Additional resources".

Mood board and basic digital compositions After making the mood board, select the best photos, and use them to compose the collages following the plans of the roughs. These collages are the basic digital compositions. Remember that each of the four missing storyboard frames has its own layer “basic digital composition” and collage.
Contour lines Create a new layer, which will be called “Drawing”, for each of the four frames on the storyboard. Make the outlines in black and white with a thin brush from Procreate, applying the collages and making the necessary modifications according to the script.
Color application Create a new layer duplicating the “Basic Digital Composition” layer that will be called “Color”, for each of the four frames on the storyboard. Blur the layer “Color” with the "Gaussian filter" and adjust the colors to the drawing. Nice! Your storyboard is ready.
When you finish your final project, share the steps in your process and the result. Receive feedbacks and among all, we can learn and be inspired by the creativity of each project of the forum. Likewise, I invite you to leave your comments and questions, as this will enrich the creative community. I just ask for a little patience to receive my comments, I have an agenda of professional commitments that also requires a lot of time and attention. But your answer will arrive! Share your final project on social networks also using the hashtags #DavisLisboaDomestika and #domestika. We keep in touch on the networks too! Invent and take a risk! Cheers, Davis Lisboa ”
