Design and Renovation of Interiors
“We have reached the end of the course. Throughout the lessons we have been going through the different phases of a housing reform through our work by Buenaventura Muñoz, which has been the rehabilitation project that we have been developing. Next, I am going to review the different phases of the project: Know the client and the order After knowing the theoretical, technical and practical bases to tackle a rehabilitation project, in the course we have seen the importance of knowing the client and generating a relationship of trust with him. We also saw what we should take into account when we make the first visit to the place where we are going to intervene; We take all the necessary measurements and notes in our plan and we carry out a complete photographic report. Project idea Next, we defined the project idea and saw the different methodologies and supports to represent it. Remember that according to each project and the phase it is in, we will choose one or the other. Distribute the space The next thing is to plan the strategies or modes of operation that we carry out in the study when we face a project. It is important that you take into account the needs of each project and adapt these strategies as necessary or even generate your own. We also have to define the materials that will finalize our proposal. We suggest you try to reconcile the old with the new, since in this way the space will have more personality. If you think that there is nothing that can be recovered, you can always leave the structure visible so that the final result has more character. Documentation and materials The next step is to prepare the documents we need to be able to carry out the work in a clear and efficient way, and thus avoid unforeseen events. Afterwards, we make the measurements of the materials that we will use in the work to be able to compare between different budgets and choose the different professionals from each union. The work and the dissemination of our work Finally, I showed you one of the tools that we use in the studio to have greater planning and control over the work and we end up generating the necessary documents, along with the final photo session, so that our project has the maximum diffusion. Now we suggest that you apply all this new knowledge in your own renovation project. You can choose any space or home, however, we thought it would be interesting to propose a real case of an apartment located in Barcelona, so that you can apply in it all the concepts that we have seen in the course and thus be able to see the infinite possibilities it offers a space through the proposals of other students. In the additional resources of Unit 1 you will find all the documentation of the house that we propose, the client's requirements, as well as the plans and photographs necessary to carry out the project. Remember that the important thing is that you believe in what you do and convey it in the way that is most comfortable for you, following your own style. Share your final project with all of us by clicking on "Create your project". Remember to share both the final result of your project and the steps that have led you to it. We would love to accompany you in each part of the process, so we will be watching the different threads of the forum to answer your questions. See you soon! ”
