“Principles of Character Design We'll look at the principles of character design by analysing my favourite characters from my own mood board. Let's go for it. My first two examples are "The Simpsons" and the McDonald's characters that were used for advertising in the early '70s. And then we've got "Barbapapa", an animation from quite a long time ago. The Garbage Pail Kids. On the next page we have Sanrio, there's hundreds of characters in this particular company's range of design, but I've picked some here. I've got "Peanuts" featuring Charlie Brown and Pig-Pen by Charles Schulz. Below that ...”
