Great explanations and examples. Basically, you'll need to learn to observe light in your own environment to be able to paint it naturally. Samuel teaches the theory behind light so learning from looking is much easier!

This has been the most eye opening course and best explained course that I have seen.
The way you explain and the simple way og using layers and blend modes has expanded my photoshop vocabulary greatly. I still have a long way to go in understanding light, but you have made it extremely facinating! :-)

I did not enjoy this course as much as I thought I would. Samuel did not seem very excited about this class he was teaching and I felt like it was rushed in some areas, slow in others. I struggled with his techniques as I found them occasionally repetitive. Although the class was not for me, I am sure that many others will enjoy it.

So far this is the only course I’ve found that addressed what I wanted to know; how to light scenes and characters for emotive illustrations. The exercises are short and the multiply layer approach works well, but you can even ignore the technique because the course will teach what kind of light to expect where. Excellent class even without the low price.
