Illustrating Nature: A Creative Exploration

I have learned more with Laura in two units of her class, than with any in class art course anywhere, ever. She sets you up for success and really wants you to see the value in your work. Lovely, soft spoken teacher.

An interesting exploration of "loosening up" techniques. Some initial sessions will be known material already if you're not new to watercolor, as I'm not. But, a nice approach to getting back into drawing/ painting/ sketching if you have lost your impetus, or got "stuck", or not done anything for a while!

Laura is an excellent teacher and her feedback is prompt and supportive. The course is designed for you to go at your own pace which is good. The content is very well done and well designed and structured. Reading and viewing the experiences of other members of the group is inspiring. The course aims to develop freedom of expression and does it very well indeed. 10/10

The course is truly inspiring! I've learned how to loosen up and get inspired and work with imperfection! Just love it! I feel like experimenting with so many different things now and that is exactly what I was looking for!

Laura McHenry is a very talented watercolor artist with both a unique style of artwork and teaching.
Laura is a very warm and personable English young artist who can relate to her pupils via video. It's like you're right in the same room with her and she's teaching you 1:1.
The course is quite extensive and thoroughly covers all aspects of working with watercolors to illustrate nature. I recommend this course for beginners as well as experienced water color artists.

I have dabbled with the idea of taking a course to help me channel and focus my creative juices for some time but this was the first one that I felt offered more than just a prescriptive 'how to' - and my instincts were spot on! Laura is a natural and inspirational teacher and from the very start her approach, enthusiasm and encouragement dispelled my inhibitions and doubt and unlocked my creative potential and I wholeheartedly recommend this course.
