“The Importance of Line Widths When I draw the face, I use a smaller line width because I want it to be very accurate. I'll use a number 2 for her face. One of the most satisfying things, when you draw, is when you get the curve of someone's face perfect and that curve suddenly makes it look like the person. It's very satisfying. Here you can see on her face, although I'm using this number 2 pen, sometimes I'm pressing it harder to make a thicker width line, and sometimes when I want something to be faint, I'll start to pull up on the pressure like on this side of her mouth and make it light...”
