“Sketching the Character Now, we’ll take a look at some of my thumbnail sketches and I'll select my favorite pose to tighten up the linework. Let’s begin. We've talked about a few different things and we looked at some aspects of developing an expressive and balanced character that tells a story, but there're three main things to keep in mind as you get into the sketching phase for your final character. Aside from creating, Joel has also mentored junior artists and co-workers, taught workshops, given talks to art students at local universities, reviewed products for Wacom, and participated in the local AIGA group speaking to young creatives.
