“Drawing techniques In this lesson, we'll draw simple objects and we'll add shade with graphite. The first thing we'll do is draw a circle. We can use templates for this, rulers, a compass, whatever you want. I'll try doing it freehand. The idea is to think that it will be illuminated. In this case, we'll light it from above, so the light will hit it less and less. This means that the bottom part will be more in the shade. The idea with graphite is to do very gentle strokes.
