Architectural Sketching with Watercolor and Ink

I started this course not knowing what to expect. WOW!! Really good course that's easy to follow with an instructor who hasn't got a boring voice and puts across all the different aspects of the course in an easy to understand and follow way. The course is broken down into manageable steps that you can keep going back to as reference points. The tools needed are all inexpensive and available on the internet if you can't leave your home because of Covoid.

The class was fantastic. I really appreciated seeing how Alex approached watercolor. Some of it was surprising. He has such a technical background and yet paints architecture so loose and vibrant! Some particularly good tips were what materials to use, including his vintage fountain pens and preference for 100% cotton paper. I think by far the best tip was how to really make paintings full of vitality by darkening the shadows and leaving the highlights of the white paper. Enjoyed it a lot!

I had limited exposure to architectural sketching and no experience with watercolor painting prior to this course. I now feel that I have the foundational knowledge to fully represent the essence of a scene in these mediums. I enjoyed watching and listening to Alex's sources of inspiration and his approach to the technique. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to learn the basics and get started sketching with watercolor.

Es un curso que vale la pena porque el maestro te brinda tips acerca de la perspectiva y el color, sin duda tomaría de nuevo un curso con este profesor.

Clear and easy to follow, love the breakdown of each stage. A simple approach without being too complex on drawing and watercolours. Love it.

Very fun class, great for beginners as well, the pace of the course is nice. Love how the instructor also walks us through the tools that he usually uses for sketching and painting. Would love to sign up again for courses like this one!

El curso es genial, desde principio a fin va explicando todo el proceso desde lo mas básico hasta los detalles personales. Sus trabajos son bellísimos, y además explica muy bien. Me encantó conocer su historia y la humildad con que la cuenta!

Me gusta como enfoca el dibujo y tratamiento que hace del color. Sus explicaciones son claras. Recomiendo el curso a todo al que le guste la acuarela.

Me encanta el curso. El profesor es muy bueno transmitiendo su experiencia y técnicas. Para cualquier persona y/o fanático que quiera expresarse a través de un papel....Mejorar o iniciar a hacer ARTE monocromático o a color...Muy recomendable!
