Architectural Sketching with Watercolor and Ink

The instructor makes things easy and the explanations are clear. What I value most is that he makes a difficult topic affordable: with his instructions my urban sketches are becoming cleaner, more effective and attractive. And he speaks an English easy to follow and understand. I recommend this course for beginners and for more experienced sketchers

I enjoyed the instruction from Alex. They were simple and easy to follow. As advertised, it was truly a beginner's course; yet, as a more advance painter I felt the content was still valuable for me to use.

Alex Hillkurtz is a wonderful artist and great instructor. While I knew some of the material, much of it is new or is presented in a manner that is easier to understand and implement. As further proof of his skill, one of his paintings was selected for the cover of October's Watercolor Artist magazine, along with a feature interview inside. Kudos to you, Alex!

Awesome course! I've always been frustrated with watercolors and hated all my attempts to learn about and use them. But this course makes it look fun and easy. Alex is an excellent instructor. He doesn't talk on and on wasting the student's time. He explains and demonstrates in just the right balance. I love that! He's honest and has a very enjoyable demeanor. I definitely would recommend this course!

At first, I thought it is going to be not quite fun since I already had an idea about the watercolor medium already but some pinpoints were emphasized clearly throughout the entire process and the reasoning for running thumbnail sketches before a final output is important. a 101%

Great course - extremely interesting to see Alex at work, going through the different stages from pencil to ink to watercolour. He's a very engaging and informative communicator. Also very interesting history and background information. Big thumbs up.

Me ha encantado, he aprendido muchos recursos sobretodo cuestiones de perspectiva luces y sombras, que es lo que más me cuesta. Me encanta como utilizas el color con esos tonos tan suaves y elegantes. El dibujo arquitectónico es muy interesante, te abre muchas posibilidades aunque también debes dominar el dibujo.
Felicidades la acuarela es la técnica que más me gusta para expresarme y tu Alex la dominas perfectamente, tienes un estilo precioso. Gracias por este maravilloso curso.
