Architectural Sketching with Watercolor and Ink

I thought this course was so helpful, informative, inspiring and just all-round great to watch. I love the way Alex talks about art and his approach. 100% recommend!

I like the fact that we are LearningPlanet the basis.

Great course. Great teacher but the zip files won’t download on my iPad. I’m keen to do more drawing and would love to peruse his work but can’t. Help!

Hello and thanks. Alex is talented and thoughtful - an inspiring mix of thoughtful care and artistic flair.

The final session was disappointing. I was invested in his class project, but he kinda hid the results and did a slapdash, non-archival framing of a different artwork.

I had a big problem. On my older MacBook pro, the sessions would un-sync, with the video trailing the sound, until my computer froze. I was able to watch on my phone.

Sehr schwierig denn mit Untertitel und gleichzeitig zu schnell alles in so einer kurzen Zeit packen macht das ganze nicht einfach...bin schon ein fortgeschrittene Zeichnerin von daher geht es schade das es nicht auch in deutsch ist....

I am enjoying this course. I am not new to drawing/watercolors but have not done it for a while. I am getting back into it now and this is a nice review. I particularly like the section on perspective. I thought he made it very easy to understand and apply. I am into Urban Sketching and the same techniques apply. I think Alex is an excellent instructor and comes off as someone you would enjoy sketching with.

While I still haven’t finished my final project, I found the course to be a new and refreshing way to look at sketching architecture and watercolour. I have always been more detail oriented and that can get tedious. Alex was easy to listen to and interesting.

While Alex is a great painter he should reshoot this course. He used a terrible photo to demonstrate his art. Some of the architecture photo's at the beginning would have been awesome choices for his demonstration. If he is choosing scenes for movie sets he really could have done a better job with this.... He is a great artist, but to think this should be published work is wrong. It's a dry run, and a bad one. You can't even see all he is doing.

Un curso maravilloso para todo amante de la acuarela. Es un curso que está muy bien explicado desde el principio con el uso básico de la acuarela hasta la aplicación de esta en el proyecto final.

Hillkurtz is an incredible artist and this course is well organized, well explained, with great visuals to support instruction. I have really enjoyed this course and have learned a lot.
