A lot of ground is covered in the course. His experience and wisdom bleed into his work and style. His thoughts on building up the piece of art in stages, standing vs. sitting down, deliberately not forcing too much detail are all great. Often we try so hard to push as much detail as possible that we take the experience away from the viewer and not allow them to fill in the painting in their mind. Lots of little bits of advance mixed with solid art principals are sprinkled through out.

-(The real reason why I went and brought this course from Domestika...is I don't speak Spanish/and, don't particularly like reading English translated subtitles; however, this course was spoken in American English; so, there was no further translation needed, anymore.)-

Fun, informative and inspiring

very fruitful small introductory course in architectural painting with ink and watercolour....enjoyed the whole process....explained in a very detailed and patient way....it has really inspired me to try this technique...i usually tend to overwork in my paintings but got to know that less is beautiful in a very different sort of way....thanks for teaching and sharing your knowledge and experience with us.....

This was so much fun! Alex Hillkurtz is such a smart and motivating teacher. I love his style to draw and paint with watercolors. Looking forward for new courses with Alex. Thank you so much!
