Alex has a clear style of presentation and explains the basics well, so the course would be suitable for complete beginners. He makes it clear that the way he works is a style personal to him which has evolved over several years, and encourages students to feel free to adapt it to suit their own preferred styles. If I might make one suggestion - he talks a lot with his hands, which can be a bit distracting on the 'overhead' video shots! But overall very inspiring.

Very good presenter that makes it all seem very easy. He as a loose style and a feeling for colour that I like. It has persuaded me to unpack my watercolours and to draw some local architecture and some from places I've visited. Recommended.

Great course and great teacher. He guides us through the whole proccess of creation the image we wanna draw and the full steps of the drawing.

Great course. Wish it was longer, but it's a great introduction and encourages me to concentrate on several areas. The most important thing I got out of this course is to let watercolor do it's thing. Alex emphasized building up layers. I often forget that and try to achieve dark washes at once, without taking the time to build up from light to dark.
I hope Alex teaches more courses.

This is an inspirational course. Easy to follow and makes my ink renderings look great. Very Creative and can apply the technique to any ink illustrations.

Alex gets straight to the crux of process of creating beautiful paintings and the process is easy. He suggested different combinations of colours for ex. Ultramarine + Burnt Sienna for grey shadows, however I want to know what colours to use to portray different feelings, such as a villa at beachside if I am painting, or a subject inside a corporate office or a Himalayan house... I could use different colours but I don't know which ones would be most effective. Great learning nevertheless thanks

Great course. Alex explains techniques simply and you can tell he loves what he does. Trying to paint like him on the final project with the shadows and adding warmth was very difficult, but it pushes you to not just paint in the lines.
