Expressive Oil Portraiture: Explore the Alla Prima Technique

I really like the way he shows the set up of his process. I would have liked to learn more about mixing skin tone and what colors to use. There was only a quick overview. Maybe a list of the actual colors used in the workshop would have been helpful.

J’espère pouvoir suivre le cours comme il faut, j’aime bien connaître les différentes façons pour s’organiser pour l’art, es spécial les portraits . Je pensée que l’auteur montre bien sa technique et motivé avec le challenge .

Very good idea and fantastic teacher with with extensive experience and knowledge. I remembered the basics of alla prima, which will help me a lot in my work:)

A.J. Alper is a fantastic teacher. He has inspired me to paint Portraits Alla Prima. He has concrete ways to approach this study.

Interesting introduction.
It's a bit confusing when he begins to fill the figure with paint as he does not mention to separate darks from lights and seems to just randomly apply colour so it's not possible to learn a method from this.
I don't recommend this course if you are looking for a more defined method.
