After graduating in Graphic Design at UnB, Mauro Martins worked as an art director in major advertising agencies for more than 13 years, where he accumulated numerous national and international awards. At the last agency he worked for, CP + B in Boulder, Colorado, he worked with clients such as Kraft, Best Buy, and Infiniti.
He currently works as a freelance illustrator, focused on his auteur work. His work has been the image of brands such as Absolut, Domino’s, Amarula, or ESPN. His work has been published in numerous magazines, books, and websites around the world. He has won several awards, including the 6th AI-A International Latin American Illustration Contest, the Spoleto chain's national dish design contest, and Google's Nest illustration contest.
Mauro was recently listed as one of the 200 best illustrators in the world by the highly esteemed Austrian publisher Lürzer’s Archive.
