I enjoy sketching because it forces you to really look at things. You see them differently than if you just take a quick snap. You take the time to take in all the details, the character, and the emotions of the subject you draw. It is a completely different experience because you move in a dimension where time is slower. I find this very relaxing, especially if I draw nature-related subjects or I'm immersed in nature. I would like to learn techniques to give more character to my sketches and to produce more interesting results.
