Regenerative textiles open new possibilities to think design from sustainability and material experimentation. In this Live, Loana Flores will share her view on this approach, connecting theory, practice and the contents she develops in her course on sustainable biothreads.
In addition to reviewing key concepts, Loana will show examples of materials and address common questions about processes, experimentation and choice of materials.
We will also explore the work of Sheila Hicks, one of the references present in her first course, to approach her practice and reflect on what aspects of her gaze are particularly inspiring. Loana will also share other references that are part of her creative universe and that have not been addressed in previous courses.
This journey will allow us to delve into her creative process and understand how she articulates research, teaching and artistic practice, understanding textile design as a space of constant exploration.

In this Live, Maru Godas will share the story of how a spontaneous sketch of Times Square, made during a trip to New York, ended up becoming a professional project when it was selected by a puzzle brand.
From this real case, she will explore her process as a sketchbooker: the materials she uses, how she works the mix media, how she builds the bases and develops the lines, and how her travel notebooks become a key tool to create and evolve ideas.

In this Live, Mariano Díaz will explore the relationship between text and image in comics and how simple drawing can become a powerful tool to tell ideas, thoughts and emotions.
Using examples from different authors, we will see how the use of a simple stroke can enhance the narrative and how the text can complement, energize or transform what the drawing expresses. During the session, Mariano will draw live and share his own writing process to show how to build a small comic piece from scratch.
Throughout the class, participants will be invited to do exercises and take notes, to experiment with these tools in real time.

Crowdfunding for beginners with Karen Alleluia | April 15 | 6 pm (MAD) | EN
In this live session, Karen Alleluia will discuss the fundamentals of launching a successful crowdfunding campaign, especially if you're just starting out.
Since 2017, she has worked professionally on crowdfunding campaigns as a creative marketing specialist. Over time, he applied what he learned behind the scenes to his own projects, honing strategies based on real results. Over the past six years, he has launched his own campaigns and consistently exceeded his funding goals, from 60% over target to over 800%.

Mónica Lavín is a Mexican writer specializing in short stories and novels, with a solid background in teaching creative writing. She has published more than ten books of short stories and ten novels, among them Ruby Tuesday has not died, work with which she won the Gilberto Owen National Literature Award. Her narrative approach, influenced by her training as a biologist, stands out for its precision, structure and the suggestive power of the short story.
With more than twenty years of teaching experience, she has taught workshops and courses in Mexico and other countries, and is a professor in the Bachelor's Degree in Literary Creation at the Autonomous University of Mexico City. She is also the author of Es puro cuento, a guide to writing short stories, and has been recognized with several literary awards. Her work combines narrative practice with reflection on genres, consolidating her as a key voice in contemporary literature in Spanish.
