Loved this course! One thing I didn't like about the course is going from one video to the next some things were not explained! For instance when starting the painting, she covered the darks in the portrait then the next video went to a screen where she had already added the eyes and some other areas without explaining her process. I was able to figure it out by stopping the video and paying attention to the areas she had painted. Even that said, please more courses from Jane!!!

I loved it! I’ve admired Jane’s painting style since Portrait Artist of the Year. The information is presented so clearly and knowledge and skills are really generously shared. I’d recommend this course to anyone who is looking to paint loosely and wishing to be more expressive and less afraid of taking risks in their art.

Lots of good tips, but unfortunately only the first layer was shown, and it didn't look like the style that I was hoping to learn to do.

I thoroughly enjoyed this oil painting portrait course. Jane French is very generous in sharing her step-by-step techniques as she paints in real time. I look forward to painting my own portraits.

This was a great course. I am typically an acrylic painter, and I could still follow her instructions and steps nicely. I love how she keeps things simple to understand, and how she gives clear, and concise steps to follow.

I loved and admired Jane's portraits since i discovered her on Instagram n always wondered how her portraits are so vibrant n full of colours and I'm glad that I got to learn this .I learned a lot for this course.

I've been a fan of Jane's since I saw her painting on Portrait Artist of the Year. She is very thorough, and I really enjoyed being able to follow the course on my own pace. Good to see she had us work on value scales first in monochrome and then work with colour and images. Great course! I'd recommend it to anyone interested in exposing yourself to portraiture.

I have admired Jane's portraits for some time and now have discovered that she is also an excellent teacher.

This course provided easy to follow instructions. The learning is easy to apply to your own portrait painting.

Wow!!! Impressive. Excellent course. I learned a lot. This would be my first time using oil painting because I am switching from pastel to oil and a course like this was what I was looking for. Thank you very much Jane!
