I have been making short ethnographic films for two decades on varied subjects such as Exploring the myths and legends of village fairs, festivals and endangered crafts, disaster management communication, Social conflicts, and Gender equality. I want to learn to script for short fiction scriptwriting in this course.
I am very interested in studying “changing paradigms of communities and their cultures” in today’s rapidly changing world. I am particularly interested in understanding and communicating problems confronted by “marginals of our society”.
I am fascinated by studying large human congregations like fairs and festivals and try to understand the myths, legends, changing practices and rituals, their material cultures etc…with so much proliferation of mobile devices constantly content, we still are ignorant about a lot of content that which is locally relevant. I would like to create opportunities for people to be connected locally for better community coexistence.
I am passionate about documenting cultures for sharing stories from the road less traveled about marginalized communities, their world views, their thoughts, experiences, aspirations, dreams, and hopes of people through films as a digital “Walkabout”.
