As a student I went to art school to explore visual communication using photography and design.
My career began as a Graphic Designer, then progressed to working in public relations and adding oral and written communication to my skills base. Utilising all my experience I was later drawn to working with Aboriginal artists and more recently returning to focus on community engagement.
I am interested in all things design including architecture, interior design, industrial design, graphic design and fashion to name but a few.
My sources of inspiration are Dadaism, Russian Futurists, Art Deco, Bauhaus, DiStil, Kandinsky, Klee, Miro, Mondrian again to name but a few...anywhere I can see design.
Photographers who I admire include The Magnum collective, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Ansel Adams, Dorothea Lange, Diane Arbus, Robert Mapplethorpe, Cindy Sherman etc
