Melissa Hampson-Smith

I am a visual artist, sculptress & jeweler. I create wearable sculptures to navigate by. These not only look at our planet & how we can look after it but also travel into outer space & beyond. Rewilding spaces here on planet Earth & terraforming other celestial bodies out into this universe & other universes beyond our own. Extreme weathers interest me & inspire my work along with the search for water in all its forms on other planets, moons or asteroids.
I love to use discarded items especially those found on the beach & upscale or repurpose these found things. Making the connection between Ocean, Moon & human intervention. I think it is important that we still look after planet Earth as we venture further out into space.
