My mother taught me to knit when I was eight years old. The first item I knit was a Barbie doll blanket for my best friend’s birthday. It was made out of this terrible acrylic yarn and it had many holes, but I was so proud of myself for creating a gift with my own hands. I have been knitting ever since, making sweaters, hats, socks, you name it. Most of my knitting becomes gifts, I rarely keep anything for myself. This is my first course on line and my first time making a puppy. I have a dog named Lulu. She is a Maltese Shih Tzu mix. I am happy to begin this course and to further my knitting skills and most importantly, enjoy the process.
