Introduction
As I don't have a city available, I've decided to go the church of a close-by village

Supplies
Loved to do the mixed media colour wheel but thought I need to have acrylic markers for this course. Honestly, I am not too happy about how they interact with the materials I normally use - so I need to experiment more. Or give it another go with my go-to materials.

Final project: Swiss village scene in mixed media
I love the chalky colour/ texture of the acrylic marker, but my favorite colored pencil (polychromos dark indigo) didn't show very nicely on it. So I had to use a dark blue fineliner (Micron) and another colored pencil (Derwent Drawing) instead. I don't feel that the colours match very well with the Prussian blue acrylic marker I used for the drop shadows. But that's what it is now.
I would like to do the same scene again, again with Jenny's process but this time without the acrylic marker as base layer. Perhaps I could use water-soluble crayons instead, i.e. neocolor 2s or woodies.
Thanks for this course! There is much more in there to return to at a later point in time.

Hi Silke, great final project- this whole mixed media things needs a lot of trial and error, sadly- but i love the red and blues in your drawing, and the textures are really fun.
