Birds & bears

Hi,
I really liked experimenting the various techniques and styles in this course. I started out with a birds & flowers motive, as these are simple go-to motives for me. Halfway through I got inspired by a book I'm reading about a woman who survives a bear attack in the woods of Kamtschatka and also tried to draw the bear. I did the bear in the collage technique and in Procreate. I did it on a Sunday and did not have a lot of paper colours at hand, so I created some texture with acrylic paint on a rubber roll, to mark the difference between layers for the poster. For the birds I later bought paper in all the colours I needed and then did a Bauhaus version in Illustrator. It was with Bauhaus that I really understood the idea of getting inspired by details from actual examples (I'm including a few here). For both the bears and the birds I started out with a paper sketch and then noticed that my ideas developed as I went from one technique and style to the next. Many thanks for this inspiring course!
