My project for course: Playful Animal Illustration with Photoshop

Thank you so very much for offering this course, Gareth. It has been inspirational, fun, relaxing and above all very informative. It was as if I was meant to find this course as I'm lucky enough to have a collection of many hand made textures (acrylic, watercolour, charcoal and indian ink) which lend themselves very well to these great processes. I was into digital pattern making in a big way a few years back so I have many of those too. I did also download the ones suggested. If it's helpful I'll add some the patterns and textures I used? Highlights for me have been, discovering photoshop had so many brushes and where to find them (I literally had no idea); Using halftones in my work; the colour dodge layer to create highlights (genius!) and generally being encouraged to play with layers and layer styles and fully embracing the beauty of colour and nature.
