Great course that took me quite a bit of time and effort but was well worth it. For my project I uploaded some "work-in-progress" pieces as well as three final pieces (I couldn't decide :).
I did not document the basic exercises (ink, paint, collections, etc.), but the suggestions really made me aware of completely new experiences and paths. I still struggle with the materials - but practice makes perfect, as we say and some of the attempts really failed, but that may well be the case.
For my practical exercises I first turned to fruit / vegetables (the classics), for the open-air sketches to ducks, geese and swans in our local pond. I then followed up the swan theme with videos and photos.
In the end, I experimented a lot with a pear and tried many techniques. And what Laura predicted actually happened: suddenly (by chance) new paths opened up that were not foreseeable at the beginning:
It was a stencil that was left over when one of the pear drawings was cut out - i.e. the negative form - that opened up new ideas for me and led to many variations, a few are shown here.
Many thanks to the equally charming and highly talented course instructor Laura. I will never achieve your poetry and imaginative delicacy - rather, I am "the man for the rough" :)
This course was really an experience, highly recommended!

Sensazionale! È una vera festa vedere tutto ciò che hai creato in un unico posto, e davvero nello spirito del corso condividere il tuo processo e non solo un pezzo finale. I tuoi schizzi all'aperto dal vero hanno una vera sponteneità e qualità del tratto, catturando l'essenza degli uccelli con apparente facilità. Mi piace anche la versione più grafica lineare creata dalle foto. Lo sviluppo delle tue pere è meraviglioso da osservare, come astratti la forma e giochi con tecniche e arrangiamenti.
