Peter Faris

I live in Calgary and play in the mountains nearby. I am an amateur photographer, and I try to capture the essence of what I see, whether I'm in nature, on the street, traveling, or taking pictures of family and friends. I've had a fulfilling career in medical science, and I find myself naturally becoming more interested in creative pursuits. I inherited a love of photography from my father. He was not a good communicator, and for him, taking pictures was an expression of how he felt about the world around him. For me, photography is an instrument of connection.
