Ohni Lisle

Hello, my name is Ohni Lisle and I'm an illustrator/artist working in Brooklyn.
I graduated with a general arts degree in 2009 from the University of North Texas, and shortly after moved to NYC to pursue my dreams of having a creative career. It was around 2015 that my illustration posts on my instagram was noticed by one of the co-creators of Refinery 29, Piera Luisa. We met and collaborated on a couple of exciting projects (one of which being the sticker calendar in my portfolio).
Since then, a lot of my dream clients have became a reality, and I've worked with multiple brands including Apple, Nike, Vice, and the New York Times.
When I tell people I'm an illustrator they often ask, "what kind of stuff do you illustrate?", and I usually tell them my subjects are usually people, or even just portraits. I love faces. I explain I like to create campy visuals that celebrate the body, and mostly like to represent women. I love fashion and exaggeration, and work across digital and traditional means of creating imagery, often time combining these two methods of making.
