My name is Nicoletta and I was born and raised in Venice (Italy).
Having an Irish mother, I grew up between two countries and developed a strong passion for diversity, cultural interaction and the arts.
I have always been passionate about photography, my thesis was about analog photography in the years of digital. I graduated in Conservation of the Cultural heritage in 2011, but my real journey with this media started in 2016, when I started a personal blog called Naturally Epicurean dedicated to the things I love most: Venice, my city, and food. This led me to develope my photography skills further and currently I work as a freelance photographer full time.
I like to capture the beauty of the every day, to see the only apparently ordinary from a different light.
I lam specialized in food, still-life and portraiture.
I am particularly inspired by painting, in particular by the Venetian painters of the XV and XVI century, especially Tintoretto, by the dramatic light of Caravaggio and also of the Flemish Old Masters, and by female painters such as Sofonisba d'Anguissola and Artemisia Gentileschi.
