I started out 2 years ago to make wooden marionettes. Having done so several times now, I've learned that I'm more of a maker than a performer. Thus, I want to try my hand at hand-crafting wooden automata. I think the skills and tools I've amassed through puppetry will serve me well in this new venture. Besides that, I'm completely enthralled by the talent and ideas of the automatists and their creations I've seen online!
